Courses and workshops open to all

I teach one hour mini sashiko workshops at most of the Grosvenor quilt shows (excluding Quilts UK, where there isn't space for workshops). This year I will be teaching how to mark and stitch an easy sashiko motif (flower or leaf) and make a sashiko coaster. These workshops are booked on the day at the show - sorry, no advance booking. Best advice is to arrive early and head straight for the booking desk!

Please note - if you would like to attend one of these workshops or courses, you need to contact the shop or venue direct, which you can do via the weblinks provided. I can't take your booking myself.

2011 - Grosvenor Quilt Shows and my quilts on tour!

I will be attending the following shows as a demonstrator and teaching short sashiko workshops - click the names of the shows for links to the main Grosvenor Shows website, with all the show information -

25th - 27th February 2011 - Spring Quilt Festival, Edinburgh

17th - 19th June 2011 - National Quilt Championships

2nd - 4th September 2011 - Great Northern Quilt Show

28th - 30th October 2011 - Autumn Quilt Festival, Malvern

All these shows are three day events - Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

I will have my books, kits and patterns for sale, plus a small display of some of my quilts on my demo stand.

Thursday 19th - Sunday 22nd May 2011 - Quilts UK, Malvern - in the marquee, turn left at bottom of ramp. Please note this is a four day show.

2nd - 4th September 2011 - Great Northern Quilt Show - I am planning to trade here, if space allows, with the trade stand at the end of my demo stand.

All the gorgeous Japanese fabrics - silks, cottons, blends, wools, vintage and contemporary - on sale, plus sashiko thread, vintage cotton for sashiko etc. Books, patterns, kits. Stand G41.

This part of my main blog has got very behind and out of date - I will be tidying up and posting December and some of next year's events soon. November has been very busy and I have been away a lot, without internet connections. Earlier in the year, I was working on books.

"Mini Quilt Blocks to Mix and Match" will be out with Search Press in January and "Japanese Quilt Inspirations" with David & Charles in May. "Japanese Taupe Quilt Blocks" is out now, £14.99 in the UK, with free UK p & p until New Year. Order forms can be downloaded from my main website (also in need of some updates!)
